FOR A JUST, MODERN, STRONG
AND BEAUTIFUL MALTA

Malta is heading into a new era, and it’s crucial that you take the lead. We’re aiming for a future where our communities are vibrant and genuine, not downtrodden and lifeless. A place where work pays and inspires our youth to make the country more beautiful.

Right now, things might seem bleak and discouraging. But even though I sometimes feel angry and frustrated, I haven’t lost hope—not even a little bit. Europe too can help in making Malta more beautiful. With my experience as the Secretary General of one of the four largest parties in the European Parliament for over six years, I know what we need to do to achieve this.

Where are the plans which have been kept secret.
Chris Bonett, you have already ruined the lives of a number of Msidjani.
Are the Skalini next?

Finally, after having ruined the lives of a number of Msida families with a useless flyover (on which they can dry their clothes) that will lead to mayhem in Skatepark, Chris Bonett seems to be waking up.

Till now he has always played the scripted narrative that "ma rridx nikkastiga n-nies" by making people pay for parking.Today, he has finally shifted to what we have been telling him for ages. He said: "measures to curb car use can only be considered if mass transport alternatives are in place".Finally. So what are you waiting for? We already have nearly 500 buses on the road. These are clearly not enough to satisfy routes, frequency, punctuality, efficiency and the exhorbitant population on our minuscule island. You can talk about metro or tram in the long term. But in the short term, increase the bus fleet by hundreds. The natural consequence will be that routes, capacity, frequency will increase.Once the expanded bus routes are in place, people will finally have a real alternative to private car use. And it is even free. Once this is in place, then payment for parking of cars for non-town residents can be introduced. Once this system is also in place, rest assured that people will start leaving their cars at home and, consequently, bus punctuality and efficiency will also increase. ... See MoreSee Less
